As the curtain came down on the final performance of our first ever Pars play, more than 1200 people had packed the city’s Alhambra theatre to see ‘Walking Down the Halbeath Road’. The show ran from 2nd to 4th March and proved to be a huge success, realising a profit of just over £9100 for the Pars Supporters’ Trust.PST Chair, Drew Main commented “This was a truly incredible fund raising initiative which caught the imagination of not just Pars fans but the local Dunfermline theatre-going public too. Its success is down to so many people, from writer Mike Gibb, director Calum Beaton, the magnificent community cast, our friends at the Alhambra theatre, to our main sponsor KDM Group.
The funds raised will go a long way in ensuring the PST can continue to offer financial support to many projects in and around East End Park”.In case you missed it, the specially produced programme for the play can still be purchased for just £3 in the club shop at KDM Group East End Park.
